William Andrews, GBDC Board Member

Chances are that if you know Brockport, you know Bill Andrews.

Bill is professor emeritus at The College at Brockport, where he taught Political Science and various writing courses from 1967 through 1995. He has published 15 professional books and hundreds of journal and magazine articles.

Bill is extremely active in the community and devotes himself to historic preservation and other civic affairs, such as the revitalization of the Erie Canal. In addition to his role as Vice President of the Greater Brockport Development Corporation's Board of Directors, Bill is a Village of Brockport Trustee, a member of the Village of Brockport Historic Preservation Board, and coordinator of the village's Canalfront Hospitality Program. And, he's the historian emeritus for Brockport. Actually, there's not enough space to list all of the community activities in which Bill is involved.

Bill has been on the GBDC Board of Directors since the organization was founded in 2002 and served as its Vice President for most of that time. He's a member of the GBDC's Governance and Nominating committees.
